THE TRICKSTER

The trickster is a joker, a clown, a wild card, a con man, a liar, a bringer of chaos, a rule-breaker who turns things upside down, is morally ambiguous and often disavows respectability Trickster openly transgresses and always goes “too far.”  Trickster, embodied in characters like The Joker or Chucky the murderous child, is obscene and vulgar, creative but also spectacularly destructive. Trickster opens the door to chaos, but cannot control what eventually comes through. Trump’s tricky persona is especially evident as he is hailed by some as abolishing bullshit, and by others as being unmatched in generating it.
